China is currently the world’s leading economic power, Bangladesh’s nearest neighbor to the northern border, an essential friend, and a development partner. They have made significant investments in Bangladesh’s development, with many more investments awaiting. This marks a great opportunity for Bangladesh, which can open new horizons in the country’s development and international relations. To capitalize on this opportunity, learning Chinese is very important for Bengali speakers.

Recognizing this, the Yidai Yilu Chinese Institute was established in Dhaka on January 1, 2016.

The Yidai Yilu Chinese Institute (一带一路中文学院), formerly known as the Chinese Academy Bangladesh, aims to expand Chinese language education in Bangladesh and deepen China-Bangladesh relations.

On April 4, 2023, the institute was affiliated with the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, marking an important milestone in its academic standards and recognition.
